The Network of Accessibility and Independent Life (XAVI) will have next January 29th an event in the headquarters of Lleialtat Santsenca to formalise its constitution Xarxa d’Acció de l’Acord Ciutadà per una Barcelona Inclusiva (Network of Citizen Agreement for an Inclusive Barcelona) and present the work that has been carried out along these three years. The organisation has the participation of Dincat Plena Inclusió Catalunya, Federació ECOM, Institut Municipal de Persones amb Discapacitat, Oficina de Vida Independiente de Barcelona, Associació d’Oci Inclusiu Saräu and Som – Fundació with the support of the invigorating team.
XAVI is a new network of the Citizen agreement with the mission of promoting the social transformation in the city, working for the rights of the persons to an independent life and favour the full inclusion of the persons with functional diversity.
Four groups compose the Network of Accessibility and Independent Life: Housing and Independent Life, Accessibility to public spaces, Support to caring families, and Inclusive Leisure that, from now on, will join to gather 67 entities of the city.
The main objective of the network is to promote social changes in the city. Their values are: inclusion, commitment, co-responsibility diversity and critic thought.
