Given the current serious healthy situation generated by the coronavirus, we have been compelled to take a series of measures addressed to guarantee the attention to persons with intellectual disabilities to whom we support and comply with the legal provisions established by the State of Alert.
Personalised attention
In order to comply with the provisions dictated by the Healthy authorities, and in order to be able to go on doing our task, we have designed a group of professionals who, in alternative turns, may be able to attend all the people who come to our office of Som – Fundació. The timetable will be from 9 h to 17 hours from Monday to Thursday and from 9 to 15 hours on Fridays. Besides, the team of urgencies continues attending the situations that might turn up out of this timetable.
The rest of the professional team of the foundation is going to work from their homes. Besides, we have intensified the telephone supports and video calls with our users in order to solve all the doubts they could have, not forgiving, however, the special attention of the persons who are staying in residential homes.

Regarding the attention to homes, the visits will only occur when absolutely necessary for the delivering of food and medicines of the people who require them.
Volunteers are there too
In these complicated moments when the relationship is so essential, the volunteers are going on keeping contact though telephone and video calls with the persons that they always accompany in leisure activities. The volunteers will inform the responsible of the Programme of Volunteers if they see any incidence.
Measures of prevention
The access to our offices is restricted to the persons who are not part of the foundation and these will be attended between the two doors of access to the office. This is meant to users as persons who might come to our office, taking previously the measures of prevention: masks and gloves.
